Psychiatry And Mental Health

The Department of Psychiatry at Nayati Hospital is also equipped with Biofeedback apparatus. Biofeedback is a subtle training technique used to enhance mind-body control. Through Biofeedback the clients know when they are changing their physical responses- such as nerve signal strength, body temperature, blood pressure or heart rate in desired directions. This information can be used to teach individuals to better control their mind and body. Biofeedback can be used by itself or in combination with relaxation.
It is a valuable option, because it is a non-invasive process that can be used to train the client how to manage and change troublesome physical symptoms. A typical Biofeedback session lasts 30 to 60 minutes.
