~ Swami ji to fund 101 paediatric cardiac surgeries at Nayati hospital, Mathura~
Mathura, 14th November, 2016: His Holiness Swami Avdeshanand Giri ji Maharaj today announced the formation of Nayati Pediatric Foundation which will aim at spreading awareness about both preventive health and acute medical conditions in children but also providing underprivileged children with specialized pediatric treatment. We believe through our expertise and efforts we can transform the future of our children and our nation.
In India, an increasing number of children and young adults under 18 years of age are suffering from life threatening diseases and conditions. These numbers are especially high in tier 2 & tier 3 cities and in most cases these young patients need dedicated and prolonged treatment, something which their families and parents with limited incomes cannot afford. For them, these factors make proper care and healing a distant dream. With the idea of tackling this relevant issue, Swami Avdeshanand ji and Nayati Healthcare have launched ‘Nayati Pediatric Foundation’. The foundation will ceaselessly work on cardiac care, Oncology and critical neonatal care.
On the occasion, Swami Avdeshanand Giri ji Maharaj, Chairman, Nayati Pediatric Foundation stated, “Humans are the finest creation of God and children are the pillars of any country. They are the future of our country. Children will shape our Nation’s narrative and drive our progress, and it is our duty to ensure our future generations live long healthy lives. Through the foundation, we intend to expand access to quality health care for those who due to paucity of funds can-not afford good healthcare. The physical and mental health of our children represents the strength of the country so it should be the prime concern of the society. I am happy to announce free cardiac surgeries of 101 children at Nayati Hospital, Mathura. This is just a beginning and I am confident that in the months to come this will grow from hundreds to thousands. ”
Niira Radia, Chairperson, Nayati Healthcare stated “With great humility, I thank Swamiji for his generosity and am grateful for his support. India has the largest burden of heart disease among children with about 2 lakh children born every year with some form of a congenital heart defect (CHD). This number is far greater than the number of children with the condition, and is growing in the country. In Uttar Pradesh, where Nayati hospital’s first flagship 351 beded super speciality hospital is, we have seen large number of children with cardiac and cancer disease which require dedicated and at times prolonged treatment. In some cases, parents have very meagre paying capacity and despite our best efforts to minimise the cost of treatment there is significant financial burden on the families. Our vision is to provide efficient cardiac and cancer treatment to financially unprivileged.
“The process of quality care to reach all is an integrated approach. It needs like-minded philanthropic and generous donors to come together to provide quality of life to our future generations. Children being the most precious wealth of our nation deserve the best available treatment and care and it will be our endeavour that no needy child remain untreated because of economic reasons.” She further added.
A committee has been formed which will evaluate the financial health of the family and only post due diligence discount full or partial will be offered to the family of the patient. It will be a completely transparent process.
